I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Development and my Professional Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California State University, Los Angeles. In addition, I also obtained my CLAD certification from the University of San Diego and an Early Childhood Education Certificate of Completion from Rio Hondo College. I also
received my Master of Science degree in Integrated Technology in the classroom, through Walden University.
I have been an educator for 27 years and have been teaching in the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District for over 23 years. I have received the "Teacher of The Year" award at both Moffitt Elementary and Los Alisos Middle School. I love teaching at Los Alisos Middle School and believe that our school is one of the best! GO LOBOS!!!
My Mission Statement
My mission is to help my students develop into the best citizens they can be and to foster their positive character development. I will teach them to believe in themselves and to believe that they can and will learn. I will treat my students with the utmost of respect and dignity and teach them to acquire knowledge while treating others with compassion and tolerance. I will empower them to become actively engaged learners who volunteer their time and commitment to lifelong learning of all subject areas. I will hold them accountable for these expectations on a daily basis. Lastly, as their teacher, I will strive to make learning meaningful, exciting and fun.
